FRIDAY "WHEN are we gonna GO?

Alright,, I'm on to animal portraits. Two this week. I painted Charlie, my neighbors dog that just passed away. He'll be posted tomorrow as he is being scanned for a print. Ginger is my dog and I had a ball painting her. She is for sale but .....So I also have a new small floral, a mother's day present which will be posted tomorrow or sunday but not for sale of course...So until sunday or so...thanks for looking and yes ginger does have a couple of black toenails.

FRIDAY "'OLD' Friends" and "Three Pats" - click for prices-

Another week has gone by and I realize that I haven't painted a "painting a day" in awhile. This week though I have three new paintings ...two of which are added here. An old salt and pepper shaker duo which has dented tops and a stick of butter...could eat the whole thing on a loaf of french or sour dough bread. The third painting is another lilly that only needs a little work but not publishable yet. Maybe, just maybe I will have the lilly posted on monday nite!

MONDAY AGAIN AND LILLY- CLICK FOR PRICE-

IT REALLY IS MONDAY AGAIN
The lilly painting was fun, fast and small. It is 12 x 16 and oil on linen. Started this friday and finished it today. I am not putting any work on ebay until I have opened a "store" ..that means when I have enough work to sustain it!! All is well and on to a new small painting tomorrow.. maybe i can keep the 2 small painting a week promise to myself!

BERRIES AND MONDAY -click for price-

Well, It has actually been a long time since I wrote. The berries painting was ...not exactly a quick painting. Wiped off 4 hours worth of work one day as the bowl looked crooked and well, the rest of the painting just had to go. Total on this one..about 16 hours for such a tiny piece. 11 x 14. I have been working larger and need to post the new pics of the work. One that I am adding is called water lilly (24 x 30) Will probably set up a new still life for a small painting this week. That's all for now

TUESDAY -NEW APPLE and ROOSTER MUG - click for pricing-

Hi...So it's Tuesday again. Hope you don't remember the painting "new apple" as apple butter..but it's true. Another "painted over painting". I rid myself of the compote that had the poorly painted geranium stem falling out of the top and changed the apple to be a looser, more vibrant colored object. Th only true remaining image is the apple butter jar which I really liked and so left it alone.
The Rooster Mug..Oh this was a fun one but I got stuck in the drawing process far too long and still I see it;s not accurate but not a bad little painting. Tomorrow I'll be on to an abstract. thanks for looking.

FRIDAY NITE -EDGE and BEETS

Two Paintings this week,,The "Beets" and an abstract "Edge". No I don't see any common thread between the two. Being true to my "one small painting a week " committment and then whatever.... the small representational work really engages me and takes me out of myself in a way that I don't have to invest myself in the work...it paints itself it seems. The abstracts are not as free flowing as they once were. I sometimes have to take breaks more frequently and return with fresh eyes. No pre-conceived ideas alway work best. until monday.....
